Seasonal Employment & Internship Opportunities
Thanks for your interest regarding seasonal employment at The Baldpate Inn during our 2015 season. Below you will find an outline of positions available each season. Each year we will accept international applications from January 1st until the end of February and US applications January 1st until the middle of March.
Each position has a beginning salary in addition to room and board. All positions are six days per week, approximately 48 hrs per week. These positions are available between May and October. Many of these positions can be used to fulfill internship or work hour requirements for your hospitality or business major.

HOTEL MANAGER: Oversees all front of house operations for B&B and Museum, to include all guest satisfaction, quality standards, and staff training & scheduling. Accountable for all cash/credit transactions and daily reports.
EVENTS & DINING ROOM MANAGER: Oversees all Dining Room operations to include guest services, quality control, staff training and scheduling. Accountable for all liquor control and inventory.
FRONT DESK ASSOCIATE: Responsible for guest services in person or by phone, maintains reservations for dining and B&B, accountable for all cash transactions, supervises all housekeeping.
BAKER & COOK: Responsible for all food preparation, health, safety, & quality controls. Prepares menu plans and creates breakfasts, soups, salads, & snacks. Bakes bread & muffins. Assistants with staff training & management, inventory and food cost controls.
ROTATIONAL STAFF: Job positions rotate daily to include waitstaff, maitre’d, housekeeping, laundry, dishwasher, kitchen assistant, and maintenance. When scheduled as a server this position receives Dining Room tips in addition to salary.
MUSEUM CURATOR INTERN. Job position which includes 2 days per week as Museum Curator working on designated projects, and 4 days per week as Rotational Staff, rotating daily to include waitstaff, maitre’d, housekeeping, laundry, dishwasher, kitchen assistant, and maintenance. When scheduled as a server this position receives Dining Room tips in addition to salary.
