BAKER & COOK THE BALDPATE INN, LTD JOB DESCRIPTION
Salary Starting pay $900 per month + Housing & Food
Hours: Minimum of 48 hours per week
Note: Because this is a salaried management position there may be times that you are required to work other than routine schedules.
8 am – 4 pm 10 am – 6 pm 2 pm – close (approximately 10 pm) (Includes 30-minute meal break and two 15-minute rest breaks daily)
Days: 6 days each week
Staff Meeting: You will be required to attend the weekly staff meeting at 7:30 pm each Sunday night (approximately 1 hour)
Duties: Prepare & set up breakfast entrée, assist wait staff with breakfast service.
Prepare soups, breads, desserts, as directed by Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Prepare produce and meats as directed by Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Bake breads, mix and bake muffins for mealtimes.
Assist with food inventory, order preparations, menu planning.
Prepare “bedtime snacks” in the evening for B&B Guests
Plan & prepare staff dinner each Sunday night with approval from Lois
Responsible for maintaining highest standards of safety and health practices.
Supervise kitchen staff in absence of Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Must be able to read & follow recipes. Any recipe variance must be pre-approved personally by Lois. It is to be understood that you will follow recipes and directions in detail. We have very specific high quality standards which must be maintained at all times
Must be able to life & carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 20 feet.
Must be able to stand at work for up to 4 hours.
Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language,\.
A clean neat appearance is required at all times. Chef’s coats and aprons will be provided.
Lateness is not tolerated. Penalty for lateness is that you will stay after regular work schedule, twice as long as you were late with no additional pay.
The use of illegal drugs or alcohol on duty will be grounds for immediate dismissal. Baldpate Inn is a non-smoking facility for both staff and guests. Use of or possession of marijuana is prohibited on Baldpate property.
No form of sexual harassment will be tolerated, including the use of rude abusive language or actions.

Your job position at The Baldpate Inn is to be considered your primary employment. Any consideration for additional part-time employment must be first cleared with Lois.
