Located in the beautiful mountains just south of Estes Park, Colorado, The Baldpate Inn offers many ways for our guests to enjoy our spectacular views and award-winning scenery. The Inn's private 15 acres are surrounded by Rocky Mountain National Park and National Forest lands, so ample opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing are available. We are just a short walk from Lily Lake (part of Rocky Mountain National Park) where guests can enjoy a stroll around the lake, view wildlife, catch another hiking trail, wet a fly for catch-and-release fishing, eat a picnic lunch, or contemplate a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Trailheads for Twin Sisters, Lily Mountain, and Lily Lake Ridge are just steps away.

You will also want to consider:

  • Horseback riding and Rooftop Rodeo & other horse shows at Estes Park's Stanley Fairgrounds.

  • Fishing in many of the area’s lakes and streams, on your own or guided, we recommend only the best at Wild Basin Outfitters

  • Putt-putt golf, go-karts and bumper boats for the kids and young at heart!

  • Historical sites such as the Estes Park Museum, Enos Mills Cabin, and MacGregor Ranch

  • Enjoy watching the area wildlife-Elk, Deer, Bighorn Sheep, Bears, Hummingbirds
