FRONT DESK & MUSEUM ASSOCIATE THE BALDPATE INN, LTD JOB DESCRIPTION
Salary: Starting pay $900 per month + Housing & Food valued at $700 per month
Hours: 40-48 hours per week (generally 3 days FD, 1 day HK, 1 day Maitre’d, 1 day Museum)
*Note: Because this is a salaried management position there may be times that you are required to work other than routine schedules.
FD 7 am – 3 pm 11 am – 7 pm 3 pm – 11 pm HK 9 am – 5 pm
(Includes 30-minute meal break and two 15-minute rest breaks daily)
Days: 6 days each week
Staff Meeting: You will be required to attend the weekly staff meeting at 7:30 pm each Sunday night (approximately 1 hour)
Meet & greet customers in a pleasant professional manner by phone or in person at front desk, maitre’d, or museum.
Make Lodging & Dining reservations following set procedures.
Prepare brochures, inquiries, and guest confirmations as well as handouts and special printed materials.
Oversee lodging concerns; notify Lois & Managers of any discrepancy or problem.
Be accountable for all Cash register/Sales/Credit Card transactions. Provide daily Analysis and Audit as requested
Create Daily social media posts (Facebook, Blog, Twitter)
Check-in and check-out B&B guests following set procedures. Assist B&B guests with concierge services.
Preform weekly inventories for Gift shop & Housekeeping.
Prepare Housekeeping list. Recheck cleanliness in all guest areas.
Check in & out DVD videos and hardback Seven Keys books.
Housekeeping & Laundry as required during HK shift rotation.
Museum Curator as required during Museum shift rotation.
Stock & promote sales in Gift Shop.
Must be able to maintain reservation books, telephone log & station reports.
Must be able to lift & carry up to 50 pounds for a distance of 20 feet.
Must be able to stand at work for up to 4 hours.
Must have excellent telephone and reception skills. Must be computer literate.
Must be able to maintain a professional attitude in all contact with guests and staff. We have very specific high quality standards that must be maintained at all times.
A clean neat appearance is required at all times. Uniform shirts will be provided for everyday attire, Sunday lunch and weddings will require a more dressy attire.
Lateness is not tolerated. Consequences for lateness is that you will stay after regular work schedule, twice as long as you were late.
The use of illegal drugs, marijauna or alcohol on duty will be grounds for immediate dismissal. Baldpate Inn is a non-smoking facility and marijauna free zone for both staff and guests. Use of or possession of marijuana is prohibited on Baldpate property.
No form of sexual harassment will be tolerated, including the use of rude abusive language or actions.

Your job position at The Baldpate Inn is to be considered your primary employment. Any consideration for additional part-time employment must be first cleared with Lois.
